At our Oregon rehab for women, we believe that alcoholism and chemical dependency is a family disease, and that everyone has the right to recover. We know that families are greatly impacted by the addict’s use and that most families’ often feel confused, frustrated, angry and helpless. The family program helps to alleviate confusion and anxiety by way of promoting healing through identifying how addiction affects families and what family members can do to take care of themselves. Therefore, we believe that families need to be involved and also need to begin the recovery process.

We have established a remote family series that involves three components; the first component consists of education about addiction, relapse and sobriety, as well as family recovery. The second component consists of a lecture presented by our addiction treatment physicians on the biology of addiction. This gives family members a deeper understanding about the disease of addiction. The third component consists of a family process group where family members and the patients at our Oregon rehab for women connect and share with one another how the disease of addiction has affected them individually and what they learned while in the family program. Family members will learn new healthy ways of coping with addiction and relationships. The family program is a 1 day program conducted virtually for your convenience. Patients are encouraged to invite family members to participate. The patient’s primary counselor will contact the family members to make arrangements to attend.
