Treatment Services

Beyond our comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment program, we offer our clients services that are customized to meet their varying needs. Some clients require detoxification; others come in with physical ailments that need medical attention first. Our Oregon rehab is small by design so that we are able to offer an array of services to meet clients where they are when they walk through our doors. Our goal is to provide a healing environment for all clients who seek our addiction treatment services; that becomes a realistic goal when we can offer specialized services under one roof. Here is a summary of some of our specialized services:

Many of our clients enter our Oregon rehab with addictions that require detoxification. For example, those with opiate addiction, benzodiazepine addiction, synthetic drug addiction and alcohol addiction may require detoxification to stabilize the physical body before they are ready to fully integrate into our inpatient treatment program. Our detox also offers a psycho-social evaluation to assess the need for specialized treatment. These evaluations provide our highly trained-and-qualified addiction treatment staff with a blueprint upon which they can tailor treatment to individual needs, be they physical, psychological or emotional. You can count on the best medically assisted treatments (MATs), including suboxone maintenance.

Alcohol/Drug Assessment & Evaluation (ASAM)

Since we are a small drug and alcohol rehab in Oregon, with a high staff-to-client ratio, we are able to take time evaluating clients through an ASAM to gain a clear understanding of the full history of our client’s drug and alcohol abuse. This evaluation provides our consulting psychiatrists and staff counselors with insight into the treatment needs of each client in order to assess the best course of action to treat the varying degrees of substance abuse disorders and behaviors.

On-site Physician Consultation and Medically Monitored Care & Treatment

The physical toll that drugs and alcohol can take is often realized within the first few weeks of treatment at our Oregon rehab center. This is why having a licensed physician on call is so essential to meeting our clients’ medical needs. After clients are physically stabilized, they are able to fully integrate into our treatment programs. We pride ourselves in being a boutique alcohol and drug treatment facility where women can get all of their needs met in one location; ensuring wellbeing through physical consultations is essential to this model.

Supervised Care 24 hours a day 7 days a week

Our alcohol and drug rehab is staffed around the clock with highly trained medical (Licensed RNs and LVNs) and clinical professionals (CADC, QMHA, CCTP) to meet the needs of clients at all times. In the first weeks of treatment, this is especially important for women who experience physical issues such as disruptive sleep, cravings, anxiety or medical needs.

12 Step Facilitation

“In spite of the great increase in the size and span of this Fellowship, at its core it remains simple and personal. Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope.” – The Big Book

12-Step meetings provide a social and spiritual foundation upon which millions of people have been able to stay clean and sober. Through 12-Step programs, clients are able to work and share with others in a way that helps them reconcile their past, share their burdens and live a life based upon spiritual principles, such as honesty, integrity, willingness, hope, faith, perseverance and community. These principles provide a solid foundation for sobriety because they make life enjoyable to live as they eradicate the drama and resentment that often leads people to use substances. At Awakenings, we offer daily 12-Step meetings to help clients develop a solid community and a spiritual foundation for their recovery, all of which they can take with them long after they leave our affordable rehab.

Family Program

“Addiction is a family disease” – Unknown

Addiction and alcoholism permeate the entire family system, which is why it is coined “the family disease.” The parents, children or loved ones of someone with a substance-abuse disorder become interwoven in the disease in myriad ways, which can include unhealthy behaviors such as enabling, mistrust, snooping, controlling and deep-seated resentments, fear and emotional suffering. The family consultations at our affordable addiction rehab allows family members and loved ones educational and therapeutic opportunities to understand addiction, as well as positive relational tools to help heal family wounds.

30, 60, and 90 Day Residential Treatment Tracts

We have built tracts for 30, 60 and 90 days of treatment that we tailor and customize based on the needs of the women that enter the doors at Awakenings.

Aftercare Program

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” –David Richo

Awakenings by the Sea offers aftercare programs to clients who have completed our Oregon drug and alcohol treatment center. Aftercare is recommended to help clients through the real-life situations that arise once they are out of residential treatment. By having a safety net with continued therapy to strengthen the tools learned in residential treatment, clients have greater success rates of staying sober and working through unanticipated circumstances and issues that arise from the pressures of their new lifestyles and day-to-day living. Many of our clients are drawn to the area because of the rich relationships they have formed with other clients, or among 12-Step programs in the area. Our aftercare services provide them a safe space to return that supports their life endeavors outside our Oregon rehab.

Yoga & Gym Availability

Through fitness and exercise our women will learn new ways to manage stress while increasing self-esteem, and implementing a healthier way of life! Research shows that exercise can increase the amount of new nerve connections in the brain that will help your brain heal from the harm your drug of choice has been causing. As the body and mind continue to return to a more normal state; many people in recovery find exercise also helps restore a normal sleep schedule. The human brain experiences a chemical reward when we exercise.

At Awakenings by the Sea, we offer Yoga by a trained Yoga instructor. Some of the benefits of Yoga include improved health, the ability to release stress and find serenity. Yoga helps to heal aches and pains, which are associated with substance use. Yoga also helps with relaxation; you will feel more at ease, expanding breath, flexibility, strength, endurance and helps with better posture.

Long Term Care

For clients that require long-term care, we offer a 90-day tract designed for women for their specific needs. This may include psychologists, psychiatrists, addictionologists, and physicians who provide medication management and therapies that can help clients with their needs within our treatment program. We also have relationships with other Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) programs in Oregon and throughout the U.S., once they complete our residential treatment program.

Group and Individual Counseling

“But we saw that it really worked for others, and we had come to believe in the hopelessness and futility of life as we had been living it.” – The Big Book

Group therapy is a vital component to our affordable rehab program because peer-to-peer group experiences allow clients to express shared experiences, trials and tribulations and relate to one another in a way that fosters lasting bonds and friendships. However, individual counseling is also a necessary component to our programs because it provides a private space to delve deeper into the root causes of addiction, and opportunities to match necessary tools to individual needs for lasting recovery.
